About me…

Welcome! I’m Ben Couch, a senior living industry veteran since 2001. I’ve written, coordinated, and conducted training for tens of thousands of employees in the field including caregivers and memory care specialists. After decades of serving people living with memory care needs, I found myself in a situation that millions of families face each year: caring for my own parent with Alzheimer’s disease.

As I became deeply involved in my mom’s care over the last few years, I saw things through fresh eyes and realized how little has been done for home and family caregivers. Large training companies, seeking the money of big businesses, have left the “little guys” behind.

My mission is to fix that. I’ve decided to use my experience to help others who love someone living with this disease.  I’m sharing the tips, tools, and resources that are usually reserved for professionals, and I’m cutting through all of the clinical language and easy answers that we all know aren’t true. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to learn and share together as we do the best for our loved ones while also taking care of ourselves.
